GORDON’S BAY PRIMARY CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 ♟
“Every move tells a story – every player made history!”
The Helderberg Chess Club is incredibly proud of another unforgettable Gordon’s Bay Primary Championship — organised by none other than our club’s matriarch, Dorothy Potgieter. Her energy, heart, and vision continue to inspire a generation of young minds to think deeply, play boldly, and most importantly, enjoy the journey.
This year’s event brought together players from U7 to Open Sections, filling the hall with an atmosphere of focus, fun, and fierce competition.
💚 Theme: “Chezzard of OZ” — Dorothy on her way to the Emerald City (Green & Gold SA), guiding all our GBPS chess players to discover courage, a heart, and a brain, alongside our very own “Chezzard of OZ”, Coach Armand Etsebeth.
